Administrative data

First-aid measures

Skin contact

Wash off immediately with plenty of soap and water. Take all contaminated clothing off immediately. Seek medical advice if irritation develops.

Eye contact

Immediately flush with large quantities of clean water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician.

Inhalation

Move affected person to fresh air. In case of exposure to respiratory system or mucous membranes, or if you feel unwell or in case of prolonged exposure, get medical attention.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. See a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, alcohol or polymer foam.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Smoke, fumes, oxides of carbon, sulfur and phosphorus.

Advice for firefighters

Firemen should wear normal protective equipment (full bunker gear) and positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Clean-up personnel should wear protective clothing and equipment to prevent inhalation of vapour and skin, eye contact.

Environmental precautions

Do not allow entering public sewers and watercourses.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Large spill: Dike and pump into drums using air-operated or other non-spark-producing pump. Prevent melange from entering drains or sewers.

Small spill: Absorb the spilled liquid with sand or earth, and then remove it to a safe area for subsequent disposal e.g. by burying or burning. Cover the contaminated area with a layer of sand.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Avoid contact with eyes. Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapour. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Do not allow it to reach to the waterways.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Keep away from sparks, open flames, and detective electrical wiring or equipment etc. Store in a cool place.
