Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Keep under medical surveilance.

Skin contact: May cause skin irritation. Wash immediately and abundantly with soap and water.

Eye contact: May cause eye irritation. Wash immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with water. In case of troubles, consult an ophthalmologist.

Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. Do not cause vomiting. Keep under medical surveillance.

Most important symptoms/effects, acute and delayed: Causes skin and eye irritation. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.

Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment: Symptomatic treatment. If possible contact a Center for Toxicology.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, water spray, dry powder and carbon dioxide (CO2).

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Jet water.

Specific hazards arising from the chemical: Thermal decomposition giving carbon monoxide.

Special protective actions for fire-fighters: Due to thermal decomposition, decomposition products have to be considered toxic can be generated, so in case of fire is recommended to use suitable respiratory equipment and full protective clothing. Should avoid contact with the product during fire fighting.

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

For non-emergency personnel: Not touch damaged containers or with spilled material. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use personal protective equipment as described in Section 8.

For emergency responders: Do not touch damaged containers or with spilled material without wearing appropriate protective clothing. Avoid inhalation, prolonged contact with skin or eyes. Use personal protective equipment as described in Section 8.

Environmental precautions: Avoid it large amounts product contaminating waterways and sewers. Contact your local environmental agency in case of spill or contamination of surface water, soil or water sources.

Methods and materials for containment: Contain spills with dikes. Collect as much as possible using absorbent materials.

Area isolation: Act according to orientation of emergency team.

Methods and materials for cleaning up: Collect the possible maximum of the product, storing it in containers suitable, properly labelled and tightly closed for posterior disposition.

Prevention of workers exposure: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent direct contact with the product.

Fire and explosion: If product is classified as flammable or explosive on Item 2 of this record, maintain the same away from sources of heat and ignition.

Precautions for safe handling: Handle the product in well ventilated areas. Handle product respecting the rules in the safety and industrial hygiene.

Hygiene measures suitable: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Sanitize clothes and shoes after use.

Conditions for safe storage: Keep the product in a covered, cool, dry, well-ventilated. The place of storage should contain barriers to hold the product in case of leakage.

Conditions to avoid including incompatibilities: Places damp, unventilated and uncovered. Avoid contact with strong agents oxidants and strong acids.

Suitable packaging materials: Drums, pails and metal containers.
