Description of key information

The acute toxicity (96h-LC50) of Diacid 1550 potassium salt towards fish Pimephales promelas is 15 mg/L based on the active ingredient. The parent compound Diacid 1550 was assessed for toxicity in a fish early life-stage study and a NOEC of 4.6 mg/L (equivalent to 5.1 mg/L as potassium salt) was found.

The acute toxicity (48h-LC50) of Diacid 1550 potassium salt towards aquatic invertebrate Daphnia pulex is 22.5 mg/L based on the active ingredient. The parent compound Diacid 1550 was assessed in a daphnia reproduction study and the NOEC was set to the highest dose tested (>4.83 mg/L, equivalent to >5.3 mg/L as potassium salt).

The acute toxicity (72h-EC50) of Diacid 1550 potassium salt towards alga Selenastrum capricornutum is 62.9 mg/L, whereas the EC10 was set to 39.9 mg/L in this study.

The test substance (Diacid 1550 Potassium salt (6339-33), 39.18% concentration) did not inhibit the growth of activated sludge up a 25% dilution of the product. This is recalculated to a concentration for the active of 98 g/L.
