- Executive summary:
The determination of the flammability of Paradimethoxybenzene was performed using a powder train about 250 mm long in accordance with EEC Directive 92/69 Appendix V part A10.
The test item melts but doesn't burn. No further testing was required.
Paradimethoxybenzene is not "highly flammable" under the conditions of the test.
Reference
Solid: Burning time (s): Paradimethoxybenzene melts but doesn't burn.
Interpretation of results: not highly flammable
Remarks: no further testing was required.
Description of key information
Only one experimental study (CRTL, 2006, reliability 1) is available and selected as key study, since conducted in accordance with EEC Directive 92/69 Appendix V part A10 and GLP.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Flammability:
- not classified
Additional information
Experience in handling and use of the substance provide sufficient information to indicate that it is neither flammable on contact with water nor pyrophoric.
Justification for classification or non-classification
