Results

The preliminary estimate of the water solubility of OS 114461 was determined to be less than 1 mg/l.

The concentration (g/l) of each component within the test material in the sample solutions is shown in the following table:

  Water solubility
Sample number  Time shaken (approx. 30°C (hours))  Time equilibrated at 20°C (hours) Concentration (g/L)  Solution pH
 1  24  24  0.00053 5.9
 2 48   24  0.00073 5.2
 3 72  24  0.00094   5.3
 4  96  24 0.00039  5.6
 5  120  24 0.00023  5.5
 6  144  24 0.00043  5.3

Mean concentration = 5.4 10-4g/ l at 20.0 ± 0.5°C

  Range 2.3 10-4g/ l to 9.4 10-4g/ l

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be 5.4E-04 g/L of solution at 20.0 +/- 0.5 deg C.
Executive summary:

GUIDELINE

The water solubility was investigated in a GLP-compliant study using the flask method according to the EU A.6 . The experiment is deemed valid, conclusive and thus suitable for assessment without restrictions.

METHODS

Based on the preliminary result, mixtures of 0.1060, 0.1226, 0.1086, 0.135, 0.1171 or 0.11483 g test item and 200 mL glass double-distilled water were added to six separate flasks. After addition of glass double-distilled water to the flasks, they were shaken at approximately 30 °C and, after standing at 20 °C for a period of no less than 24h, the contents of the flasks were filtered.

RESULTS

The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be 5.4E-04 g/L of solution at 20.0 +/- 0.5 deg C.
