Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Seek medical assistance if discomfort continues
After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with polyethylene glycol 400, then with plenty of water If polyethylene glycol is not available, rinse of with plenty of water.
After contact with eyes: Rinse the affected eye immediately with plenty of water at the same time keep the unaffected
eye well protected.
After ingestion: In case of problems seek medical advice and show the package or label
Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide
Accidental release measures
Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil
Take up mechanically
Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.
Avoid dust formation and electrical charging (sparking) because dust explosion might occur.
Avoid contact with the substance
Handling and storage
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment techical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
