As reported in ILO-ICSC (International Chemical Safety card redacted by Internation Labour Organization) the substance is strong oxidizer.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the known experience in the handling and use of substances as reported in SIDS Dossier of MnO2 approved at SIAM 25 (17 -18 October 2007), manganese dioxide is used in the manufacturing of dry cell batteries and in chemical industry as an oxidazing agent.
