Additional information

Isopropenyl acetate was assessed in a 96 h flow through acute fish toxicity test according to OECD Guideline 203. Isopropenyl acetate was administered in a Tween80 -acetone vehicle. The concentrations were analyzed via gas chromatography and showed at least 81% recovery after 4 days. 10 animals per test concentration of 0, 5, 9, 16, 28 and 50 mg/l respectively were used in 20 l glass beakers with a flow through rate of approximately 59 ml/min. The 96 h LC50 of the test substance was determined to be 21 mg/l. The substance is harmful to fish under the conditions used.
