Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods

Description of key information
In a 14-day toxicity study to earthworms (Eisenia fetida) the 14-day LC50 was estimated to be greater than 10000 mg test item/kg soil. The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) related to mortality and biomass was determined to be ≥10000 mg test item/kg soil, i.e. the highest tested concentration. While the standard concetration to be tested is 1000 mg/kg soil, in the present study an additional concentration of 10000 mg/kg soil has been tested and even in the 10 times higher concentration no effects were observed.
