Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately.
Take for medical treatment:
After contact with skin: Brush off Phosphorus pentoxide from the skin and there after wash with plenty of cold water.
After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
After ingestion: Summon a doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting. When swallowed, allow water to be drunk.
Drink Aluminium oxide suspension.
Advice to doctor:
Symptoms: Coughing; Shortness of breath
Hazards: Risk of pulmonary oedema
Treatment: In case of lung irritation, treat first with Auxiloson i.e. Pulmicort - Dosing aerosol (Auxiloson
and Pulmicort are registered Trade Marks).
Fire-fighting measures
Special protective equipment
for firefighting: Wear respiratory protection when fighting fires
Accidental release measures
Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Pick up mechanically. Rinse away rest with water.
Dispose of contaminated
Handling and storage
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: No special measures necessary
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed
Protect from atmospheric moisture and water
Storage stability: In the original, unopened packages protected from moisture, product can be stored for at
least 12 months

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes and skin
Do not inhale dust
Hygiene measures: Clean skin thoroughly after work; apply skin cream.
Respiratory protection : Dust mask
Hand protection :
Nitrile rubber gloves:
Minimum breakthrough time / gloves : > 120 min
Minimum thickness / gloves: 0,35 mm
Butyl rubber gloves
Minimum breakthrough time / gloves : > 120 min
Minimum thickness / gloves: 0,5 mm
These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions under which the gloves are being used.
Eye protection : safety glasses
Body protection : acid-proof protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition : No decomposition if used as prescribed.
Hazardous reactions;
Exothermic reaction:
Violent reaction with water at high temperatures.
Reactions with numerous chemical compounds, especially those with mobile hydrogen atoms.
Reactions with damp air.
Violent reactions with -NHx, -OH and -SH groups.
Strong dehydrating effect (desiccating).
Disposal considerations
Product: In accordance with regulations for special waste, must be taken, after pretreatment, to an authorised
special waste disposal site
Consult manufacturer
Uncleaned packaging: Uncontaminated packaging may be taken for recycling
