Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Differential thermal analysis has been used to follow hydrolysis of maleic anhydride. On exposure to maleic anhydride to an atmosphere of 96% relative humidity, maleic acid is produced with hydrolysis completed in 21 hours at 22 Centigrade. No hydrolysis occurred at a relative humidity of 50% within 46 hours.
