Test solutions
- Vehicle:
- no
- Details on test solutions:
- The test solutions were prepared as water-soluble fractions (WSFs). 606.1mg of the test substance was added into 6L test water and stirred for 72 hours to prepare a loading rate of 101mg/L ofthe test substance. The vortex depth was about 1/10 of the test solution column. At the end of the stirring period, the mixture was settled for about one hour. Then the raw suspension was withdrawn from the middle of the vessels. Undissolved test substance was removed by filtration over a filter with a pore width of 0 .45µm (discard first 1 OOml).
Test organisms
- Test organisms (species):
- other: Gobiocypris rarus
- Details on test organisms:
- The test was performed with Gobiocypris rarus which were bred in Bioassay and Safety Assessment Lab, Shanghai Academy of Public Measurement (ID: GR-SAPM-161209).
Study design
- Test type:

Test conditions
- Test temperature:
- 21.4 - 21.8 °C
- pH:
- 7.48 - 8.02
- Dissolved oxygen:

- Nominal and measured concentrations:
- Nominal loading rate: 101 mg/L
Measured concentration: below limit of detection (LOD2 = 65.1 ng/mL) - Reference substance (positive control):
- yes
- Remarks:
- Potassium dichromate was tested as a positive control (recently performed on 2017.6.19-6.23). The 96h LCso value of the test substance to Goblocypris rarus (ID: GR-SAPM-161209) was 195mg/L (95% confidence limits: 153-244mg/L).

- Dose descriptor:
- LL50
- Effect conc.:
- > 101 mg/L
- Nominal / measured:
- nominal
- Conc. based on:
- test mat.
- Basis for effect:
- mortality (fish)
- Details on results:
- No LL50 was calculated since the test was performed as limit test and no toxicity was observed at the loading of 101 mg/L that could be obtained. The results of the limit test were expressed as the loading rate of the test substance (the measured concentrations were below LOD2).
- Results with reference substance (positive control):
- Potassium dichromate was tested as a positive control (recently performed on 2017.6.19-6.23). The 96h LCso value of the test substance to Goblocypris rarus (ID: GR-SAPM-161209) was 195mg/L (95% confidence limits: 153-244mg/L).
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Conclusions:
- There was no acute toxicity at the loading of 101mg/L in the limit test. The test results showed that the 96h LL50 for the test substance to Gobiocypris rarus was higher than 101 mg/L (the measured concentration was below LOD2, LOD2=65.1 ng/ml) under the tested conditions. The results of the limit test were expressed as the loading rate of the test substance.
- Executive summary:
There was no acute toxicity at the loading of 101mg/L in the limit test. The test results showed that the 96h LL50 for the test substance to Gobiocypris rarus was higher than 101 mg/L (the measured concentration was below the limit of detection LOD2, LOD2=65.1 ng/ml) under the tested conditions. The results of the limit test were expressed as the loading rate of the test substance.
