Additional information

This study data is read-across from the analogous substance lanthanum oxide. The acute toxicity of the test material to Brachydanio rerio was investigated, under static conditions, according to the standardised guideline OECD Guideline 203. Since the study was conducted on the read across substance, lanthanum oxide, it was assigned a reliability score of 2 in accordance with the criteria set forth in Klimisch (1997).

During the study Brachydanio rerio were exposed to test material at a nominal concentration of 100 mg /L. Mortality was observed daily. No mortality was observed during the test, either in the control or in the group exposed to the test material. The 96 hour LL50 was therefore considered to be in excess of 100 mg/L.
