Mice of CFLP strain in the weight range 16 to 23 g were straved overnight before treatment with MP-1. Mp-1 was prepared as a 10% v/v emulsion in Tween 80 (10% aqueous dilution) and administrered at a maximum dosage volume of 16 ml/kg bodyweight. Mice treated with Tween 80 in water served as controls.
