First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention if irritation
occurs.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse affected eye with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Seek
medical attention if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with soap and water. Seek medical
attention if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray or fog, carbon dioxide or dry chemical may be
used.

Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a
fire, evolving noxious fumes (eg. carbon and nitrogen oxides
and ammonia). However there is no experimental evidence to
support the anticipated combustion products.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.

Wear suitable protective equipment, see 2.3.1. Avoid dust
formation by damping down with water. Absorb spillages of
solutions with a suitable inert material (eg sand or soil).
Carefully transfer the spillage to suitably labelled waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. Clean
the spillage area with water and detergent. Dispose of waste
material in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be handled in conditions of good
industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local
regulations in order to avoid exposure, and reduce dust
accumulation. Engineering controls are necessary to reduce
exposure to the substance.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Such protective equipmemt should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard prEN374

Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard prEN166

Dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.

Local exhaust ventilation is used at resin mixing stations
where the substance is handled. The standards mentioned
above should be regarded as a minimum.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a dry well-ventilated area.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 100 lb polyethylene-lined fibre drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Avoid contact of the substance with strong oxidising agents.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported.

Dust explosion: There is a potential dust explosion hazard from this organic
powder.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages is not economically or
technically feasible. In principle, it may be possible to
recover larger spillages of uncontaminated material for
subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.

The potential dust explosion hazard will be minimised by
appropriate handling and storage.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations (A650).

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration or by
burning under controlled conditions at a licensed waste
treatment processor in accordance with local regulations.
Stack gases should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes (eg
carbon and nitrogen oxides and ammonia) could be formed
(A661).

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
