First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with plenty of water. Symptomatic

treatment.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

nitrogen together with hydrogen chloride and some soot.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1).

Sweep up spill and transfer to suitable labelled containers.

Dispose of by incineration or at a landfill site in

accordance with local regulations.

Do not allow spill to enter waste water treatment plants or

surface waters.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Gloves, safety goggles and an

air hood or approved dust respirator should be worn.

Storage: Store in tightly closed containers away from heat and strong

oxidising materials.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed polyethylene-lined fibre containers.

of 1000 deg C. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of
