Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In the event of spillage (open handling) - evacuate area.

Clean up personnel should wear NIOSH approved respirator,

chemical resistant gloves and rubber boots. Sweep up spill

ensuring to avoid dust generation, and place in clean, dry

containers for disposal (incineration). Once material spill

has been collected - wash spill site with water, taking care

to keep out of sewers & drains.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact and inhalation of dust. Operate in areas

provided with efficient local exhaust ventilation systems.

All dispensing, sampling and charging operations to be

carried out in closed systems, i.e. using glove box and

doverpac containment technology.

Handling of 5-fluoro-2-oxindole should only be carried out

using nitrile gloves to standard EN 374, safety glasses to

standard EN 166, NIOSH approved fullface mask respirator

with a silicon rubber mask to comply with EN 136 and a visor

to standard EN 166. Filter complies with standards EN

(PPE: respiratory, skin and eye protection to prevent

overexposure)

ventilated area.

The product is incompatible with strong oxidizing materials.

Keep away from oxidizing substances.
