First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical
attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if irritation continues.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if
irritation continues.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, foam, dry chemical media, carbon dioxide may be
used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may include oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot and metal oxide
smoke.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment see 2.3.10.
Absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material
(eg. sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to
labelled waste containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum
machine. Dispose of waste material on accordance with local
regulations by landfill or incineration.
Clean the spillage area with detergent and water. Avoid
release to drain.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to minimise exposure.
Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance.
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards as follows;
Chemical protective gloves to Standard prEN374
Chemical protective clothing to Standard EN368
Eye protection to Standard prEN166.
Furthermore, positive pressure dust masks are recommended
conforming to national standards.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The potential dust hazard is neutralised by appropriate
handling and storage measures of the neat substance.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg. sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed, to remove oxides of nitrogen and sulfur

sewage system or the aqueous environment.
