Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid immediately when
vapors are intensively inhaled.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately wash eyes with plenty of running water for at
least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower
eyelids. Get medical advice if irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected skin area with plenty of water and soap for at
least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and
shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Get medical aid immediately. Wash out mouth with plenty of
water and give 2-4 cupfuls of water or milk to drink. Never
give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, water mist.
Product arising from burning: CO and CO2
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear a self-contained breathing
apparatus and a chemical protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Pick up with absorbent material ( sand, kieselgur, acid
binder, universal binder, sawdust)
Handling and storage
Handling: Handle with appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid
contact with eyes and skin. Provide safety showers and eye
wash station near workplace. Keep product away from fire,
sparks or ignition sources. Local exhaust ventilation if
necessary.
Storage: Keep only in the original container. Keep container tightly
closed and dry in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Steel / polyethylene drum 200 kg
