Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

At the saturated solution with a nominal loading of 100 mg/L of the test item, no effects were observed on Daphnia magna. A geometric mean measured concentration of 2.05 ug/L of the test item was determined for the saturated solution.

Additional information

In the acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magnathe effects of the saturated solution with a nominal loading of 100 mg/L of the test item VIVTROZE-H were determined according to OECD 202. The limit test was conductedunder semi-static conditions over a period of 48 hours. The test item is an off-white crystalline powder and is sparingly soluble in water. Therefore, a saturated solution was prepared by stirring with approximately 1100 rpm for 24 h at room temperature. After the completion of stirring, the test item dispersion was filtered with a membrane filter (0.45 µm)to achieve the saturated solution. The saturated solution was clear throughout the exposure period. Twenty daphnids were exposed to the saturated solution and the control. The saturated solution and the control were analytically verified via LC/MS-MS at the start (0 and 24 h) and at the end of both exposure intervals (24 and 48 h). The measured concentrations of the test item at the start of the exposure intervals (0 and 24 h) were 2.47 and 2.02 µg/L. The measured concentrations of the test item at the end of the exposure intervals (24 and 48 h) were 2.10 and 1.69 µg/L. The geometric mean measured concentration was calculated to be 2.05 µg/L. All effect levels are given based on the geometric mean measured concentration of the test item. Water quality parameters (i.e. pH-value and dissolved oxygen concentration), measured at the start (0 and 24 h) and at the end of the exposure intervals (24 and 48 h), were within the acceptable limits. The validity criteria of the test guideline were fulfilled. At the saturated solution with a nominal loading of 100 mg/L of the test item, no effects were observed on Daphnia magna. A geometric mean measured concentration of 2.05 ug/L of the test item was determined for the saturated solution.
