Description of key information

Additional information

Appearance:

The substance is an odourless, organic light yellow powder at 20 ºC and 1013 hPa.

Melting point:

The reported melting point was determined to be 119.7-122 °C.

Boiling point:

The boiling point was found to be > 250 °C at 1013 hPa.

Relative density:

Relative density was determined to be 1.39.

Particle size distribution:

The product has a median particle size D50 = 23 um, determined by laser diffraction measurement. Additionally, 7.0 Vol.-% of the particles have a diameter ≤ 5 um and 20.7% have a diameter ≤ 10 um.

Vapor pressure:

Vapor pressure was determined to be 20 -40 mPa at 20 °C, 68 -76 mPa at 44.9 °C and 85 -95 mPa at 52 °C.

Partition coefficient:

The log Pow value was determined to be 2.1 at 25 °C.

Water solubility:

The water solubility was determined to be 61 -73 mg/l at 20 °C.

Surface tension:

Experimental determination showed a result of 71.7 mN/m at 20 °C (conc. 67 mg/l). Therefore, the test item can be considered as non surface active.

Flash point:

Not applicable, solid substance. The flammability test was performed instead.

Auto flammability:

The self-ignition temperature was determined to be > 119 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

Flammability:

The substance is not flammable. The molecular structure of the substance does not contain groups that indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties and handling of the substance indicates that this is the case.

Explosiveness:

Based on chemical structure and information on handling and use the substance was considered non-explosive. Experimental determination was waived.

Oxidizing properties:

From the assessment of the chemical structure it was established that the test substance would not have oxidizing properties.
