Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The value of partition coefficient found for the test item LCE08121 is :
Pow = 1.34 E+03 and Log(Pow) = 3.13 at 20.2°C in purified water (pH 6.5).
Executive summary:

This study consisted in the determination of the partition coefficient of one batch of LCE08121 referenced as batch N° T82925.

The sdudy follow the n°107 guideline of the OECD and has been realized according to the GLP principle.

Principle of the method

The test was run according to the "Shake Flask Method" as described in EEC Method A8, in OECD guidelines for the testing of chemicals, method 107.

Outline of method

The test item is diluted into octanol saturated with water. This solution is diluted with different amounts of n-octanol saturated in water to prepare the test solutions.

After the phase separation, the concentration of the test item in the n-octanol phase (Co) and in the aqueous phase (Cw) is determined by HPLC analysis.

The partition coefficient (Pow) is calculated as the ratio between the two concentrations :

Pow= Co/Cw

Results

see test results sheet.

Conclusion

The value of partition coefficient found for the test item LCE08121 is :

Pow = 1.34 E+03 and Log(Pow) = 3.13 at 20.2°C in purified water (pH 6.5).
