Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: Draize scoring procedure-Acute Toxicology Guidelines, Acute skin and Eye Irritation Tests
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Draize scoring procedure-Acute Toxicology Guidelines, Acute skin and Eye Irritation Tests was used. Skin irritancy potential was assessed by applying 0.25 gram Iohexol to intact and abraded skin of New Zealand White rabbits. Less than the standard 0.5 gram of compund was used because of the bulkiness of the compound. Using the Draize scoring procedure, reactions were evaluated at 24 and 72 hours to obtain the primary irritation index. Following application to six areas (three intact and three abraded).
