Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of Fatty acids, C8-10, triesters with trimethylolpropane (CAS 91050-89-4) to fish following was investigated in a study following OECD guideline 203 (Comber, 1991). The test was conducted with Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, reported as Salmo gairdneri) in a semi-static test system. The test organisms were exposed to a single test substance concentration of 1000 mg/L (limit test) for 96 hours. At test termination a LC50 >1000 mg/L based on nominal test substance concentrations was determined.

Thus toxic effects on fish are not expected up to the water solubility limit of the substance (< 0.05 mg/L; Frischmann, 2012).
