Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
INHALATION
Remove concerned person out of danger area in a well aerated place; if any symptoms happen, look for medical assistance.
SKIN
Remove all contaminated clothing. Wash the contaminated part with water and rinse.
EYE
Wash abundantly with running water holding the open eyelids. Remove contact lenses, keep eyelids open.
INGESTION
Rinse mouth with water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. if any symptoms happen, look for medical assistance.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Carbon dioxide. Alcohol resistant foam. Dry chemical powder.
EXPOSURE HAZARDS
In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide.
PROTECTION OF FIRE-FIGHTERS
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Eliminate all sources of ignition. If outside do not approach from downwind. If outside keep bystanders upwind and away from danger point. Mark out the contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorised personnel. Turn leaking containers leak-side up to prevent the escape of liquid.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Do not discharge into drains or rivers. Contain the spillage using bunding.
CLEAN-UP PROCEDURES
Absorb into dry earth or sand. Transfer to a suitable container.
Handling and storage
HANDLING REQUIREMENTS
Avoid direct contact with the substance.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep away from sources of ignition. Keep container tightly closed. Below normal ambient temperatures material willstart to solidify Storage life, ~2 years. Protect from frost. Store at +15°C to +25°C

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection : Filters capturing particles.
Hand protection : Impermeable gloves resistant to chemical products.
Take into account that the resistance of the gloves could be influenced by different factors, e.g. the work condition or temperatureConseguently the resistance could be different from the one indicated by the permeation data for a certain type of gloves.
Eye protection : Protective gloves
Body protection : Workers have to wear closed working clothes. The contaminated clothing should be washed before ree-using them.
Additional information about engineering measures : Ventilation of the local where the product has been stored and/or manipulated.
Provide adequate ventilation.
If this is not sufficient to maintain concentrations of particulates and solvent vapour below the OEL (=Occupational Exposure Limit) , suitable respiratory protection must be worn.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under recommended storage and handling conditions.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods : The disposal must be made in conformity with actual rules, in authorized dump or thermodistructions plant. Do not empty into waters or drains.
Contaminated packaging : Not reclaimable packs must be disposed with the product. Do not release in the environment.
