N-(3 -aminopropyl)iminodiethanol (APDEA) aquatic toxicity profile has been investigated on different levels of the trophic chain: aquatic algae, aquatic invertebrates and fish.

For algae and fish, no effect were observed at the highest concentration tested corresponding to 350 and 150 mg/L, respectively.

However, APDEA has been found to be toxic to daphnia with a 48h EC50 of 6.2 mg/L. In addition, EC10 of APDEA for microorganisms was determined to be 205 mg/L.
