Description of key information

The self-ignition temperature was determined according to the screening test on self-ignition according to Grewer; VDI 2263, sheet 1)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

At atmospheric pressure the pure test item melted at 130°C and flowed out of the basket before a self-igition could occure. The substance blended with Kieselgur (1:1) showed self-ignition at 170°C at atmospheric pressure. In addition to the screening test on self-ignition according to Grewer a DSC (pressure: 20 bar; report number: PS 20090043-Mö (Siemens 2009)) showed an oxidation reaction at 150°C.
