Any other information on results incl. tables

Titandiborid TiB2– FST (filter dust) could be immediately ignited at 100°C and only ignited after a certain period of time at room temperature. The material showed long lasting glowing over the whole lenghth of the material strain. Based on these observations, BZ 4 was allocated to TiB2 ccontaining filter dust.

Titandiborid TiB2 Charge VB6 (TiB2 powder) could be immediately ignited at 100°C and only ignited after a certain period of time at room temperature. The material showed only local glowing. Based on these observations, BZ 3 was allocated to TiB2 powder.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
According to the results of the evaluation on burning behaviour, BZ 3 has been assigned to titanium diboride powder and BZ 4 has been assigned to TiB2 containing filter dust. Based on the burning behaviour of TiB2 in this test, it can be concluded that TiB2 does not have to be classified as highly flammable no labelling is required for TiB2.
