Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Pow < 0.0001; log Pow < -4 (20 ± 1 °C), OECD 107, EU Method A.8, Groult 1998b

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of the test material was determined in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 107 and EU Method A.8.

The preliminary test indicated that the test material was weakly soluble in n-octanol (< 0.01 g/L). The solubility of the test material in water was previously determined to be > 1000 g/L. The Pow and log Pow were determined to be < 0.0001 and < -4, respectively. Since the log Pow was found to be negative, the study was considered to be complete and no further testing was initiated.

The study was performed in line with GLP and an accepted standardised guideline with a high level of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria of Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, log Pow < -4 at 20 °C, was taken forward for risk assessment.
