Additional information

Based on the similar physico-chemical properties obtained for all members of the polyol ester category in combination with the available experimental data for environmental endpoints, it can be expected that all substances would have similar effects on the environment, despite the variation of chain length and the presence of branched vs. linear fatty acid esters. The 50% effect criterion up to the predicted water solubility of the test substance has not been reached in studies performed with analogue substances.

 

Conclusion on classification

Therefore, substance does not need to be classified for the environment according to the CLP Regulation (EC) 1272/2008.
