Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray jet, foam.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear well closed full protective clothing including helmet.
Use self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up with suitable equipment (e.g. using an industrial
vacuum cleaner of approved type)and if necessary collect in
closed containers. Containers in which split substance has
been collected must be adequately labelled. Dispose of
absorbed material in accordance with the regulations. Clean
contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing
environmental regulations. While taking up the substance,
prevent skin and eye contact as well as inhalation of it.
Wear personal protective equipment (see in this regard point

Handling and storage

Handling: Inhalation of the substance as well as skin and eye contact
with the substance should be avoided. Dustproof and grounded
equipment should be used during filling and metered feeding
as well as during sampling. In the case of handling in open
systems, any dust that can form should be extracted safely
(in an explosion-proof manner) directly at the point of
origin. If technical extraction or ventilation measures are
not possible or are insufficient, respiratory protection
(e.g. ABEK/P multi purpose filter) should be worn. To avoid
skin contact, tested antistatic protective gloves (e.g.
PVC/nitrile rubber gloves) and suitable antistatic
protective clothing (e.g. disposable suit) should be worn.
To avoid eye contact, the wearing of safe eye protection

(e. g. safety goggles) is recommended. If dust can develop,
due to the potential explosion risk, potential ignition
sources should be removed from the work area. In addition,
measures should be taken to prevent electrostatic
discharges. Do not use any spark-producing equipment or

Storage: Use correctly labelled containers. Keep only in the original
container. Keep container tightly closed and dry in a cool,
well-ventilated place.
