Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Contain spill immediately with inert material (eg sand,
earth). Sweep up and transfer to labelled containers for
disposal by incineration in accordance with local
regulations. Wash spill site with water. Do not let spills
or cleaning runoff enter sewers or water courses.
Handling and storage
protective clothing, butyl rubber gloves, chemical splash
goggles and face shield. Respiratory protection is required
only if levels of the butyl acrylate exceed recommended
exposure limits. The respiratory protection programme should
meet national requirements (In the USA: OSHA 1910.134 and
ANSI Z88.2).
Storage: Store in tightly closed, stainless steel, glass or
phenolic-coated steel containers in a cool place. Store at
temperatures <35 deg C away from sources of ignition. Store
with a vapour space oxygen concentration of 5-21% to avoid
polymerisation. If stored longer than 6 months in a closed
container, replenish vapour space with fresh air.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparation is imported in 210 l steel or containers
lined with 100% olive drab phenolic or 16 litre steel
containers.
