Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
suitable extinguishers. Carbon and nitrogen oxides may be
formed. It is advisable to wear breathing protection.
Accidental release measures
transfer to waste containers for disposal at an authorised
tip.
Handling and storage
hygiene should be observed to avoid exposure, particularly
of the eyes.
Storage: No special precautions.

Stability and reactivity
aliphatic alcohols and amino alcohols together with
aluminium hydroxides. The reaction is not violent.
Disposal considerations
moisture. Recovery of spilt material is, therefore, not
possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Neutralisation of the substance is not possible. Aliphatic
alcohols and amino alcohols will be formed on hydrolysis
which are as hazardous (possibly more hazardous: ?flammable
and irritant/ corrosive) as the substance. Absorption on
suitable material is possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a landfill is possible. However, care must be
taken in view of the hydrolysis products.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be incinerated under controlled
conditions by an approved contractor according to local
regulations.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance will have completely hydrolysed before it
reaches a water purification system. The hydrolysis
products are readily biodegradable.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain in
its concentrated form. The maximum concentration will be
20% by weight in a formulation. Recovery is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Neutralisation of the substance is not possible as the
hydrolysis products may be as hazardous (possibly more
hazardous) as the substance. Absorption on suitable
material is possible.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: This means of disposal is possible but the nature of other
components in the formulation must be taken into account.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal by incineration at a suitable facility is
possible.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance itself will have hydrolysed. However, the
effects of other constituents in the formulation must be
taken into account.
