Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. If irritation develops, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, carbon dioxide, foam or dry powder may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with hydrogen chloride gas.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Protective clothing and a self-contained breathing apparatus
should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (See 2.3.1). Sweep up
small spills. Large spills should be retained by
barricade/bunding to prevent material entering sewers,
ditches and waterways. Transfer to suitable containers and
dispose of by incineration in accordance with local
regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. An approved dust respirator
(BS 6016 Type 2 or BS 2091) should be worn. Protective
clothing (e.g. long-sleeved coveralls), gloves and goggles
should be worn.
Storage: Store in 200 l plastic drums in a cool place. Keep away from
sources of ignition, acids, bases and strong oxidising
materials.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Technical material may be collected and returned to the
notifier.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility using temperatures
of 1200 deg C or above. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides
of nitrogen and sulfur and hydrogen chloride gas should be
fitted. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance must not be disposed of to waste water
treatment plants or surface waters.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Formulated material may be disposed of as domestic waste.
