Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove promptly to fresh air. Seek medical attention if
symptoms develop.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with copious amounts of water or saline,
for at least 15 minutes. If irritation develops, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water, seek medical
attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray or carbon dioxide may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may include oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with some soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1).
Collect spilled material in a dry state in a vacuum cleaner
and place in suitably labelled containers for disposal.
Spillage site can then be washed with water, do not allow
discharge to drain.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance itself should be used only in well ventilated
work areas, by process operators wearing protective
clothing, gloves, dust masks and eye protection.
Storage: Store at room temperature, in a well ventilated place. Keep
away from direct sunlight.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Corrugated cardboard, each package containing 10 pasteboard
boxes in which one ink-ribbon cartridge and 50 receiving
sheets are packed.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None known
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: This is the recommended form of disposal, incinerate at a
licensed facility with flue gas scrubbing to remove oxides
of nitrogen (A661).
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will enter the public domain only as part of
an article which can be disposed of as domestic waste.
