Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion : Rinse mouth with water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention.
Skin contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Obtain medical attention.
Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water maintaining eyelids well apart (for 10-15 minutes). Take advice of an ophthalmologist.
Inhalation : Remove person to uncontaminated area. Assure fresh air breathing. Obtain medical attention if breathing difficulty persists.
Fire-fighting measures
Hazardous combustion products : Under fire conditions, hazardous fumes will be present : carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, chlorine, bromine.
Extinguishing media - Suitable : CO2 , dry chemical powder.
Protection against fire : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Do not breathe fumes from fires or vapours from decomposition.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye or face protection. Insure adequate ventilation. Minimize generation of dust.
Environmental precautions : Prevent entry to sewers and public waters.
Methods for cleaning up : Clean spills promptly. Collect spills and put it into appropriated container. Use suitable disposal containers.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.
Handling conditions : Material should be handled with caution. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation to minimize exposure to dust. Avoid all unnecessary exposure. Do not breathe dust.
Storage conditions : Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area. Keep in original containers. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Store in tightly closed. Provide adequate ventilation to minimize dust concentrations.
