Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

EC50 (48 h) > 0.041 mg/L (measured concentration). No effects up to the limit of water solubility (0.04 mg/L) (OECD 202).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of 2-[2-(3-butoxypropyl)-1,1-dioxo-1,2,4-benzothiadiazin-3yl]-5'-tert-butyl-2-(5,5-dimethyl-2,4-dioxo- 1,3-oxazolidin-3-yl)-2'-[(2-ethylhexyl)thio]acetanilide (UY-330) to invertebrates was determined in a study by Bouwman (2004). This test was conducted according to ISO 6341 15, EU Method C.2 and OECD Guideline 202 following GLP requirements. During the study, two limit tests were performed under static conditions. Daphnids (Daphnia magna) were exposed for 48 hours to a filtered solution prepared at 100 mg/L nominal (verification of test concentration was performed by HPLC analysis). No immobility or other adverse effects could be observed at the end of the exposure period and therefore, an EC50 value could not be calculated and it is considered to be > 0.041 mg/L (measured concentration).

In conclusion, UY-330 was not acutely toxic to invertebrates under the tested conditions. No effects of the substance are expected in the range of the water solubility of the test substance (0.04 mg/L). Thus, in addition an EC50 > 100 mg/L based on the nominal test concentration of the test substance in a filtered solution is assumed and reported in the study summary.
