First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder may be used.

Water should not be used, substance may float on surface.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing

apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Remove personnel from the affected area. Wear suitable

protective equipment (see 2.3.1). Absorb spill using a

suitable inert material (eg sand or soil), or use an

approved sealed industrial vacuum machine. Transfer to

suitably labelled containers. Dispose of at a landfill site

or by incineration in accordance with local regulations.

Wash spill site with water and detergent.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic

chemicals. Protective clothing (eg an impervious apron),

chemical-resistant gloves and safety goggles should be worn.

Suitable respiratory protective equipment should also be

worn where there is a likelihood of generating an aerosol

mist. In such cases, a half mask conforming to prEN 405

should be used in conjunction with a filter conforming to

prEN 141.

Storage: Store at room temperature in tightly closed containers.
