Results and discussion
Flammable solids
- Key result
- Test procedure:
- other: Preliminary Screening Test: Unbroken powder train of 250 mm long, 20 mm wide and 10 mm height by using aluminium mould on a non-combustible, non- porous and low heat conducting base plate. A hot flame was applied to one end of the train for 2 min.
- Remarks:
- Substance not ignited and did not propagates 200 mm length within 4 minutes.
- Burning time:
- ca. 0 s
- Remarks on result:
- substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Any other information on results incl. tables
The preliminary test concluded that the substance was non-flammable and hence the buming rate test was not carried out for the substance.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- not classified based on GHS criteria
- Conclusions:
- The results of the study revealed that lhe substance is non-flammable.
- Executive summary:
The flammability of the substance has tested according to the EEC A.10. "Flammability (Solids)" and OPPTS 830.6315 "Flammability" guidelines.
The preliminary screening test was conducted to determine the flammability of the substance. The flame of the burner did not ignite the substance pile and did not propagate over the 200 mm length within 4 minutes.
The substance is therefore non-flammable and hence the buming rate test was not carried out for the substance.
