Administrative data

Endpoint:
boiling point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling
Justification for type of information:
According to model calculations, the boiling point of Salt of chlorhexidine and undec-10-enoic acid (1:2), commercially known as Salibact is predicted to be 459°C. However, salts of Chlorhexidine decompose before boiling, e.g. Chlorhexidine digluconate starts to decompose at approximately 157°C and decomposition of the dihydrochloride is beginning at approx. 280°C. Therefore, it is expected that Salt of chlorhexidine and undec-10-enoic acid (1:2) will also decompose before boiling.
