Description of key information

An in chemico/ in vitro testing battery (OECD TG 442 c, d, and e) according to OECD guidelines and under GLP was carried out with the test item. In the DPRA, the test item showed minimal reactivity towards both peptides. Due to the observed precipitation of the test substance, however, the prediction model did not apply. A KeratinoSens assay was negative. An h-CLAT assay yielded upregulation of the cell surface marker CD86 in at least two independent experimental runs and the test item was considered as positive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

Two out of 3 in chemico/ in vitro experiments yielded valid and conflicting resuts. A subsequent local lymph node assay according to OECD TG 429 is planned with the substance as follow-up test.
