Description of key information

In the long term (21-day) aquatic invertebrate study (Daphnia magna) conducted under GLP conditions, Molyvan 855 was tested and shown to rapidly degrade and coco amides (CAS 68603-42-9) be formed. It has been hypothesised that the aquatic toxicity of Molyvan 855 may be attributed to the degradate, coco amides
NOEC (21 day) = 0.47 mg/l (nominal)

Additional information

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

In an OECD 211 study conducted under GLP conditions, Molyvan 855 was tested and shown to rapidly degrade and coco amides (CAS 68603-42-9)isformed. The NOEC (21 day) of Molyvan 855 is 0.47 mg/L (nominal). It has been hypothesised that aquatic toxicity of Molyvan 855 may be attributed to the degradate, coco amides (Safepharm Laboratories, 2005).

No results in marine species are available.
