Description of key information

At 20 °C and 1013 hPa, the UVBC substance ‘Naphtha (petroleum), steam-cracked, C8-10 aromatic hydrocarbon fraction, alkylated and oligomerised’ (NAF-AO) (see Chap. 1) is a liquid of varying viscosity with a slightly aromatic odour and ranging in colour from colourless/pale yellow to brown.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
liquid

Additional information

Several batches of the substance NAF-AO were analysed for physical state, colour, and odour according to national test guidelines (EPA OPPTS 830.603 and 830.6304 and DIN ISO 4630, respectively). The results demonstrated the substance to be a liquid with differing viscosity, a slightly aromatic odour and a colour varying from colourless/pale yellow to brown.
