Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Flammability is usually seen as the ease with which a substance can burn or be ignited. It includes spontaneously flammability (pyrophoricity) and ignition on contact with water.

A substance is considered pyrophoric if, under the conditions of a standardised test, it spontaneously ignites within five minutes of being exposed to air. Thiseffect is easily seen. During the manipulation of the substance in the last 100 years, It has never been reported any spontaneoius flammability of the substance.

A flammable liquid in contact to water is one with a flash point below the upper limit set in the classification and labelling criteria. For CLP the set flash point is 60°C, well below the estimated flash point upper he boling point of 106°C

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not considered flammable under the CLP criteria set out in the Regulation 1272/2008
