Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Skin contact: Wash affected skin area with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists
- Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear. DO NOT use mouth-to-mouth respiration.
- Ingestion: If victim is conscious and alert, rinse out mouth and give 2-4 cupfuls of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting (danger of chemical pneumonia). Get medical aid in case of persistent symptoms.
Fire-fighting measures
- Exposure hazards (combustion products): Under fire situation, this material may generate toxic gases such as COx and NOx.
- Special protective equipment for fire fighters: In the event of fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and a protective suit.
- Special methods (on small fires): If area is heavily exposed to fire and if conditions permit, let fire burn itself out since water may increase the area contaminated. Cool containers/tanks with spray water.
- Special methods/instructions: Do not allow extinguishing water to reach ground water or sewage system. Contaminated extinguishing water has to be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures
- Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If accidental spillage or washings enter drains or watercourses contact local Environment Agency.
- Methods for cleaning up: Collect mechanically. Absorb spilled material. Sweep up, place in a solid waste container for later disposal.
Handling and storage
- Technical measures/Precautions: Handle with appropriate personal protective equipment (see section EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION). Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Prevent formation of aerosols Keep away from sources of ignition. Protect against electrostatic charges. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
Storage:
- Technical measures/Storage conditions: Keep containers tightly sealed in a dry and well-ventilated place at room temperature. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Store in a place accessible by authorized persons only.
- Incompatible products: Oxidizing agents.
- Packaging material: The substance is packaged both in fiber drums with plastic inner bag (50 kg NET) and in fiber board boxes with plastic inner bag (10 kg NET).

Exposure controls / personal protection
Engeneering measures: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Ventilation equipment should be explosion prove if explosive concentration of dust, vapour or fume are present.
- Personal protection:
1. Hand protection: Impermeable and resistant gloves.
2. Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing.
3. Eye protection: Safety goggles with side shields.
4. Respiratory protection: Breathing protection recommended. Respirators for dust particles.
5. Hygiene measures: Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Keep away from food, drink, and animal feeding stuffs. When using, do not eat, drink, or smoke.
6. Further information: Remove and wash contaminated clothing and gloves, including the inside, before re-use. The product does not contain any relevant quantities of materials with critical values that have to be monitored at the workplace.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: Conditions which may cause dangerous reaction are not known.
Materuials to avoid: Strong oxidizers.
Chemical reaction with water: None.
Hazardous decomposition products: Hazardous decomposition will not occur.
Dust explosion: Dust explosion is likely.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
- Container: Containers should be cleaned by appropriate method and then re-used or disposed by landfill or incineration as appropriate, in accordance with local and national regulations. Do not remove label until container is thoroughly cleaned.
