Description of key information

Tripotassium hexacyanocobaltate is very mobile under typical environmental conditions and used as standard tracer for groundwater investigations and soil moisture distributions. Abiotic and biotic degradation are not expected to significantly affect the fate and pathways of tripotassium hexacyanocobaltate in the environment. Whereas biotic degradation (hydrolysis) is not relevant for inorganic substances, hydrolysis is also not relevant since tripotassium hexacyanocobaltate does not contain hydrolyzable functional groups.
