GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The flash point of 2-(Allyloxymethyl) acrylic acid methyl ester was determined by Pensky Martens Closed Tester Method.
The flash point of 2-(Allyloxymethyl) acrylic acid methyl ester was 82.30, 83.40 and 83.30°C was in replication R1, R2 and R3, respectively.
Hence the mean flash point of 2-(Allyloxymethyl) acrylic acid methyl ester was 83.00 ± 0.61°C at normal atmospheric pressure (i.e. 755.48 mmHg).

Description of key information

The mean of three replicate tests gave a flash point of 83°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
83 °C

Additional information

A flash point determination was conducted as part of a package of physicochemical testing on 2-(Allyloxymethyl) acrylic acid methyl ester(Jai Research Foundation, 2017, Study 221-2-11-18029). The study was conducted in compliance with GLP and the flash point determination was performed according to EC A. 9 test guideline. The flash point was measured by using closed cup method.

Boiling point of 2-(Allyloxymethyl) acrylic acid methyl ester was found to be 175 ° (IUCLID endpoint 4.3 Jai 2017_203-2-11-18026_Key) and flash point was found to be 83 °C.
2-(Allyloxymethyl) acrylic acid methyl ester does not meet the criteria of flammability as described in the GHS (table 2.6.1) and CLP (table 2.6.1), hence is not classified as flammable.
