- Principles of method if other than guideline:
- The OECD Guideline 105 has been followed in order to perform a preliminary testing of the water solubility. Also, surface tension according to Du Noûy ring method (OECD guideline 115) was used for estimation of the CMC value. For CMC, a stock solution of product (1 g/l) was increasingly injected (30 injections) into clean water with a surface tension of 72 mN/m. CMC is achieved when surface tension has reached a plateau.

- Details on results:
- The experiment was performed by mixing the substance with water in different weight ratios. The analyzed substance all formed cloudy/hazy emulsions (or even at the higher concentrations two phase separated solutions) at every concentration tested; hence the solubility is very low (below 0.1%). To more accurately be able to determine the low water solubility, CMC analysis was employed. The CMC was then set as the water solubility limit. The CMC was determined to be 80 mg/litre. The pH in solution was ca 6.5 and the temperature 20 degrees Celsius and the surface tension (ST) for 0.1% product was 23,0 mN/m (see report ANL18033). The water solubility (CMC) of ´N-(Oleyl alkyl)- 1,3-propanediamine mono oleates´ was set to 0.08
