The test item shows three endothermic effects in the temperature ranges of 250 °C - 280 °C, 320 °C - 360 °C and 380 °C - 450 °C in the DSC runs.

In view of the fact that the mass losses of the samples were about 50% , none of the observed endothermic effect can be assigned to boiling of the test item.

Capillary Method

For verification of the results the test item was additionally tested three times according to the capillary method. In the three tests, the test item started to liquefy and changed its colour to brown at a temperature of approx. 340 °C. At a temperature of 350 °C, the test item was completely liquid and turned black. At a temperature of 360 °C, the test item started to climb in the capillary. At a temperature of 400 °C the test was ended. The measurement carried out with the capillary method showed that none of the endothermic effects observed in the DSC measurements can be assigned to a boiling point of the test item. Due to this result, the test item has no boiling point.

Conclusions:
The test item TA-1 has no boiling point up to its decomposition starting at approx. 250 °C as determined by differential scanning calorimetry and capillary method according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.2. and OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).
