Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Final step results

 Run
 Mass of sample (g)  10.06 10.10  10.07
Was a spontaneous ignition observed?  No No  No
Maximum rate of gas generation (l.kg-1.h-1)  0
Is the generated gas flammable?  N/A N/A  N/A
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
For the initial tests, no gas generation or spontaneous ignitions were observed. For the final test the generation of a flammable gas was less than 1 Litre/Kg of the substance per hour. Under the EU Regulation (EC) 440/2008, Annex Part A test A12, the substance is therefore determined to be Non-Hazardous.

Remarks on result:
other: the sample melted then ignited with a localised, medium size, orange flame.
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test is conducted in accordance with the procedure described in EU Regulation (EC) 440/2008, Annex Part A test A10.
The test item is not highly flammable.
Endpoint:

no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)

Test Results

Test number Ignition or no ignition  Observations
 1   No ignition   No reaction
 2   No ignition   No reaction
 3   No ignition   No reaction
 4   No ignition   No reaction
 5   No ignition   No reaction
 6   No ignition

No reaction

No ignition were observed during the six tests. The sample is therefore not pyrophoric

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test item not pyrophoric.
Executive summary:

A small quantity of the sample (1-2 ml) was dropped from a height of approximately 1 metre onto a non-combustible surface. It was observed if the sample ignited on dropping or within 5 minutes of settling. The test was performed six times. No ignition were observed during the six tests. The sample is therefore not pyrophoric

Description of key information

- The test item is not highly flammable ( Annex Part A test A10.)

- For the initial tests, no gas generation or spontaneous ignitions were observed. For the final test the generation of a flammable gas was less than 1 Litre/Kg of the substance per hour. Under the EU Regulation (EC) 440/2008, Annex Part A test A12, the substance is therefore determined to be Non-Hazardous.

- The test item not pyrophoric. (EU Method A.13 (Pyrophoric Properties of Solids and Liquids))
